MEMA Executive Director Robert Latham, along with other local, state and federal officials, testified at the U.S. House of Representatives committee on Transportation and Infrastructure hearing today at 9 a.m. The topic for the hearing was “A Review of the Preparedness, Response to and Recovery from Hurricane Sandy.” The committee received testimony from Director Latham on the best practices for recovery from Hurricane Katrina. Latham’s testimony focused on overall response and recovery strategies, and the challenges of recovery following a catastrophic disaster.
