March 24, 2020 Severe Weather Event Preliminary Damage Assessment



PEARL, Miss. – The National Weather Service confirmed the severe storm that impacted Tishomingo County Tuesday evening, March 24, 2020 produced an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds near 110 mph.

After a preliminary assessment of the impacted areas, a total of 55 residential homes and 4 commercial buildings in Tishomingo County were impacted by the confirmed tornado.

These damage reports serve only as an initial assessment from the county emergency management office and could change as MEMA receives additional reports and conducts further assessments.
