VOADs Respond to Hurricane Isaac

PEARL – Mississippi Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster respond to assist Mississippi residents affected by Hurricane Isaac. These organizations can help some residents with unmet needs not covered by federal assistance, or when federal assistance is not available.

Volunteers have set up in Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River and Jackson counties to assist with items including, but not limited to:

  • Carpet removal.
  • Cleaning out storm damaged homes.
  • Clean-up kits.
  • Debris removal on private property.
  • Home repair.
  • Moving from one location to another.
  • Roof Tarping.

Online registration services are available 24 hours a day.
