MEMA, in partnership with the Mississippi Insurance Department, purchased a damage assessment software called CrisisTrack. All GIS / Tax Assessment data collected from the state is housed in CrisisTrack. We provide this software at no cost to the counties or municipalities. The data is collected at the local level before, during, and after events, like a tornado. This data is used for proper analysis and documentation to ensure successful submission to FEMA. This damage assessment software also pre-populates FEMA forms with the data collected and inputted during the damage assessment process. The software provides situational awareness during an event, provides near to real-time cost analytics, and expedites the paperwork process for submission towards a declaration.
