Malary White currently serves as the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Governmental Affairs at the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency; shaping the MEMA story and maintaining the relationship between the agency and government leaders.
Malary previously served as the Chief Communications Officer MEMA, where she led the communication for the State Emergency Operations Center through multiple federal declarations. During her tenure, she launched the MEMA App and led the design and development of the new MEMA website.
Malary has nearly 15 years of experience in public communications. Before serving the State, Malary was a television news anchor and reporter at WBRZ in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to that move, she worked at WJTV Channel 12 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Malary has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is from Lumberton, Mississippi. Malary currently lives in Brandon with her husband Brian, their son Elijah and dog Archie.
