Todd DeMuth brings over 15 years of experience in emergency management to his role as Deputy Director of the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. Since joining MEMA in 2008, Todd has consistently demonstrated leadership in advancing the agency’s mission of preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation across the state.

In 2022, Todd was appointed Director of the Business Emergency Operations Center (BEOC), where he has led statewide efforts to strengthen public-private partnerships and ensure business continuity during disasters. His innovative coordination with private sector stakeholders has significantly improved Mississippi’s disaster resilience and recovery capabilities.

Todd also serves as the State Coordinating Officer, a role in which he has overseen response and recovery operations for more than twenty federally declared disasters. His strategic guidance and deep operational knowledge have been instrumental in securing federal support and delivering timely resources to impacted communities.

With a steadfast commitment to collaboration, accountability, and service, Todd continues to play a key role in MEMA’s leadership team, helping to build a stronger and safer Mississippi.

Todd resides in Brandon with his wife, Jennifer.
