Les Stapp

On July 1, 2024, Les Stapp was appointed as the Director of the Office of Response. Since joining the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) in 2023, he has excelled in his roles as a Preparedness Officer and State Exercise Officer within the Office of Preparedness. Before his tenure at MEMA, Les served for over 30 years in the Mississippi National Guard as a Military Policeman, participating in three overseas combat deployments and several domestic state responses. He has completed the Senior Leaders Course and graduated from the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. Les holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Belhaven University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
